Delete your account

Your memories are yours — and so is the choice to leave. Here is how to delete your Hertis account and the data that goes with it.

The fastest way: in the app

Open Hertis and sign in.
Go to Settings (the gear at the top of your home screen).
Choose Delete account and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. Before you confirm, you can export your family archive from Settings → Your data & safety.

No longer have the app?

Enter the phone number your account was created with (including the country code, e.g. +91 or +61) and we'll take care of it. Our team verifies ownership of the number before anything is deleted.

We only use this number to locate and verify your account — nothing else.

Request received. If an account exists for that number, our team will verify ownership and complete the deletion. Nothing further is needed from you.

What gets deleted

Your account, sign-in identity and profile.
Your personal data and device tokens.
Content that belongs only to you.
